It all started with James and Elise Kelly, the makers of a gourmet twist on these all- American classic treats. James, who grew up as a scout and later worked in the world of coffee, saw s'mores as a nostalgic & sweet missed opportunity. After marrying in 2012, James leaned on Elise’s natural gift of baking to develop compelling recipe ideas.
Together they started 1927 S’mores, whose name is a homage to the first ever documented recipe from the Girls Scouts' 1927 "Tramping and Trailing" newsletter. in 2015, the kelly’s introduced a street pushcart, torch-firing gourmet s’mores on portland’s NW 23rd avenue. After a few years of growing their catering, concessions and wholesale line, they now have a bustling flagship retail location they refer to as the "Cabin In The City" in the heart of Portland, Or. we look forward to serving you soon!
